This communication is to inform you of an upcoming adjustment to your monthly legal policy premiums, effective 1 July 2024.

Despite our continual efforts to keep our premiums competitive, we have found it necessary to implement a modest increase. This decision is driven by several factors, including rising legal costs, inflation, and increased claims from our members. As per the government gazette, legal fees for attorneys and advocates have risen cumulatively, over the last two years, between 17.63% (for labour cases) and 25.83% (for civil cases). Adjustments to our legal tariffs are required to ensure we can maintain access to top legal talent.

Note that for memberships initiated on or after 1 March 2022, your premium and insurance benefits will be reviewed annually on your membership anniversary. For memberships active before 28 February 2022, the premium adjustment will take effect on 1 July.
