We would like to inform you that your monthly legal policy premiums will increase from 1 July 2023*.

Despite our best efforts to keep our premiums as low as possible, we have concluded that a moderate increase is necessary to continue providing you with the high-quality legal protection and services you expect from us. This decision was made due to several factors, including rising legal fees, inflation, and increased claims made by our members. On average, the legislated legal fees payable to lawyers and advocates have increased between 7.63% (for labour cases) and 15.83% (for civil cases), as published in the government gazette. To ensure that we can retain the services of top lawyers on our panel, our legal tariffs paid to our panel lawyers and advocates must increase in line with these legislated legal fee adjustments.

We remain confident that our legal policies & service still offer the best value for money legal protection available in South Africa today. Our legal team comprises top lawyers dedicated to ensuring that your legal needs are met, no matter your challenges. *Please note that if your membership started on or after 1 March 2022, we will review your annual premium and insurance benefits on your membership anniversary. For active memberships on or before 28 February 2022, the premium increase anniversary date is set for 1 July.
